Urban gardening: Fall is here - start covering up!

Its time to start covering up our 4x4 beds. Were going to talk a bit about getting ready for winter and how to extend the growing season.

Available Courses

  • Orientation and Welcome Packet for new authors at Bonaparte Press.
  • Second semester of Latin 1 course for upper elementary or middle school student. Uses text Latin Primer: Book I by Martha Wilson, 2nd Edition, Mars Hill Textbook Series.
  • Course for members of the Huntington, WV Writing Group. Our members are varied, writing in the areas of:

    Non-Fiction biography
    Romance:
  • Grammer Rules for the Road
  • Cost: $5.00
    Boot camp in editing for Authors
  • Basic of Fiction Writing
  • Methods in Regional and Urban Planning. You must be a registered student at Marshall University to access this material.

    You can contact the Geography Department at Marshall University to find out more about Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Geography with a focus in Urban and Regional Planning.
  • This class is Math for 7th grade students featuring algebraic thinking skills and problem solving.  The text used is Saxon Math 8/7.
  • Latin for the middle school student. Taught by a WV certified teacher.
  • In this class Middle & High School students work as a team to design and prototype new toys.

    Students will be introduced to the concepts of brainstorming, determining customer needs, sketching, graphic design, industrial design drawing, concept development, prototyping.

    They will also work on written, visual and oral communication skills. At the end of the course students will have developed a prototype of their toy to present at our New Toy Event.

    This course has been adapted for Middle /High school students from a course at the MIT Toy Lab.
