• 7th Grade Math with Algebraic Expressions

  This class is Math for 7th grade students featuring algebraic thinking skills and problem solving.  The text used is Saxon Math 8/7.
• Latin - Middle School

    

  Latin for the middle school student. Taught by a WV certified teacher.
• Toy Design

  • Teacher: Sara Loftus

  In this class Middle & High School students work as a team to design and prototype new toys.
  
  Students will be introduced to the concepts of brainstorming, determining customer needs, sketching, graphic design, industrial design drawing, concept development, prototyping.
  
  They will also work on written, visual and oral communication skills. At the end of the course students will have developed a prototype of their toy to present at our New Toy Event.
  
  This course has been adapted for Middle /High school students from a course at the MIT Toy Lab.
