Our Mission and Inspiration:

We are a micro-press based in West Virginia with roots in the mountains of the Adirondaks. Recognizing the growth of e-publishing in the book industry, we emerged in 2008 from our sister company, The Bookworm’s Attic , an independent bookstore specializing in Romance, Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Bonaparte Press reflects the diversity of our readership with 90% of our staff, authors, and editors spread across the country: West Coast, Gulf Coast, and the Great Lakes Region. While are headquartered on the banks of the Ohio river in Huntington, WV, the majority of our work is done electronically, using virtual meetings, white boards, and other technologies which enable us to remain small and agile, while still doing big things.

As a micro-publisher, we are committed to conservative growth, restricting our offerings to less than ten titles a year. Our small front list offers us the ability to focus on our authors and take risks on which manuscripts we publish. So far, we have enjoyed a level of success that surpassed our expectations, and are proud of our authors and editors for their hard work.
