Our Mission and Inspiration:

We are a small press based in West Virginia with roots in the mountains of the Adirondacks. We have embraced the power of modern technology, 90% of our staff, authors, and editors are spread across the country: West Coast, Gulf Coast, and the Great Lakes Region. Our headquarters can be found on the banks of the Ohio river in Huntington, WV. Much of our work is done electronically, using virtual meetings, white boards, and other technologies which enable us to remain small and agile, while still doing big things.

Recognizing the role of e-publishing in the book industry, we emerged in 2008 as an Independent Press from our sister company, The Bookworm’s Attic, an independent bookstore. Starting as a micro-publisher, we are committed to conservative growth, restricting our offerings to less than ten titles a year. Even in tough economic times, we had a very successful first year.

One of the advantages of our publishing house is our commitment to utilizing cutting edge technology to maximize our ability to meet the needs of our authors and editors. Through a combination of full time staff and free-lance editors, we have been able to plant our feet solidly in this industry. While many big houses are closing, we are committed to remaining small, streamlined, and cost effective.

Our philosophy is that technology has evened the playing field. If you have an idea and can put your words down on paper (or into a computer), then you might be the next breakthrough best seller.

Do we accept submissions from unpublished author? Absolutely. Every bestselling author was unpublished at one time! We challenge you to dust off your work and send it to us. That is the first step in making your dream a reality.
